Stalemate

If I’m not moving forward,

Am I being left behind?

Do I have to move at all?

Or is right here just fine?

It’s always the human race,

It’s not always human kind,

Maybe we should reverse that

And share in each other’s time.

Right here is where you are.

Right here is where you’re stuck,

But you don’t want to stray too far.

You’re not ready for that yet.

The world spins round you now.
